What we are doing to improve accessibility
Council will elect councillors to train in website accessibility. With the intention that the council can identify the issues that need addressing.

Cllr N Antill-Holmes looking into IT providers asking about accessibility compliance.
Council policies & documents for website (where possible) will now be saved in word with a watermark ‘Uncontrolled if printed’.
Cllr D Warren asked if there was any financial support for making things compliant. Do council have a budget for accessibility?’ At present unknown if there is funding to help with compliance and at present cost would come from main budget.

Council recognises that documents from different companies may come inaccessible formats.
The website was re tested after it's shut down July 2021. The test was carried out internally using a desktop computer, Microsoft 10 and a Chrome browser.
May 2022
The internal Auditor raised an issue 'some files required saving before allowing the reader to open, which is not conducive to easy access for the public'.
This is being investigated – to see how easy this is to achieve.
